This is why our business is unique
Perficient International does not discriminate against age, sex, colour, religion, politics or sexual orientation. We offer an equal opportunity to every candidate who steps through our doors. Our company is about having the RIGHT ATTITUDE and not necessarily having the right skills, unlike many other businesses. With us, you can start at the bottom and, with the right attitude and goal-setting, you can work your way up to director level. You are promoted ON MERIT and NOT TIME. What you put in is what you get out. Under our leadership, we have a branch manager who finished the MANAGEMENT, sales & marketing training programme within the first 7 months of the 12-month MANAGEMENT training programme. It is in your power to determine how long it will take you to reach the top of the ladder of success. Our biggest asset is our people. We will invest as much time, effort and money as is necessary to get you to the top. At Perficient International, there are always excellent awards and incentives to inspire you.
What makes us so successful whereas other companies fail?
85% of companies fail due to bad MANAGEMENT. Our companies succeed due to our MANAGEMENT structure and 12 months management and sales & marketing training programme.
Reasons why other companies fail compared to reasons for our success:
Our programme is designed to set you up for success. It is structured as follow:
Before we allow any new MANAGER to manage a new branch on our behalf, we give them the right theoretical and practical training. The mistake that most companies make is to tell people that knowledge is power. KNOWLEDGE IS NOT POWER; knowledge itself is potential power; it is simply unactioned information.
Here is an example. Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time. Holding 28 medals, more medals than 66 countries. That is impeccable. But it was not through reading books and listening to podcasts on ‘how to swim’ which led him to break records and continuously represent his country at the Olympics. It was the applied knowledge and constant practice he put into learning how to swim which helped him and his body to be best suited to win gold, after gold, after gold. He was able to apply the knowledge through action which led to his victories. He learnt the foundations by equipping himself with what it takes to be a swimmer. Yet, those foundations held no value until they were executed, until he trained, getting better with each training session. Here is how we understand it: Knowledge is ‘potential power’. It gives you the ability to become more than what you are. Yet, by itself, knowledge is simply knowledge. It is what you do with the knowledge you have that makes an impact. Let’s get back to our 12-month MANAGEMENT, sales & marketing training programme.
Our program is broken up over 3 phases of 4 months each
1st Phase
To measure the communication skills of our potential candidates. This is achieved on both a practical and theoretical basis, which is explained in-depth in our final interview stage.
1
2
2nd Phase
Is to measure the candidate’s leadership skills as displayed in how he manages consultants whom we have hired for the specific team leader.
3rd Phase
We teach more on the internal running of the business. Areas such as IT, internal flow of information, stock controls, and the ability to hire potential staff. The candidate will have enough knowledge, both theoretically and practically, to manage one of our new branches.
3
Now only we can open a branch, as the candidate has completed the 12-month programme, the person also have proven they can MANAGE, and by this time the company also have TRUST in you. REMEMBER we promote ON MERIT. You determine your timeframe to get into MANAGEMENT, depending on your career-path experience, effort, and how well you learn. This could be anywhere from 7 to 12 months. The above are merely broad strokes to achieve a WIN-WIN and there are far more details in all aspects, which are fully explained in person to each candidate during the final interview stage.
There may be further questions one may like to ask , which is why we have our interview process. But, let’s consider the most common questions we are asked.
When we think of our Customers:
We get to customers who have lost their quality of life and unfortunately it is too late for our technology to make a difference.
We also get to customers who take their health for granted. What makes us sad is people do not make their health a priority. They wish for a new car, a new house, lots of money, and overseas trips. On the other side are people whose biggest wish is to get back their quality of life, to walk again and no longer have pain.
When we think of our employees:
We all know the quote: Some people succeed because they are destined to and most succeed because they are determined to. It is sad to see individuals with extreme potential fail because they are simply lazy. They want the high life but are not willing to make the short-term sacrifice.
Unfortunately, as with many companies and sports clubs that enrol individuals, there will always be candidates who can be successful but fail.
Our training is the most advanced they have ever seen, which includes theory and the practical side, with the highest success ratio. The strongest advice our candidates wished to share was as follows:
Do not fall into the trap of thinking that because an individual failed in a similar industry the same will be repeated again with us. We are not them! You will get failure, as in any industry, our failures are usually not from falling down, but from not having what it takes to get back up. (Which one are you?)
Do not fall into the trap of other people who are merely ignorant and jealous of your new opportunity and who transfer their negativity. You obviously want the best advice, but understand that you are the best person to decide what is best for you, not by listening to others. You will agree that most top sportspeople, actors, and leaders have been discouraged along their journey. The weak fell but the strong rose above that, with their self-belief and inner strength, and did not fall prey to that. Sadly, so many candidates with talent do. Do not be a victim! Be a victor!
What breaks our heart?
Our products and technology have been seen on various platforms and are used by some of the biggest brands in South Africa.
